Aqua Clear is a colourless coating, which is quick drying. It penetrates into the pores of the material under treatment to bind the particles together in tough resilient, abrasiveresistant enamel. It provides a protective barrier on porous surfaces, which resists chemical attack and eliminates dusting. It is a one-pack, colourless coating which provides integral protection for building materials. It is based on styrene acrylic copolymer resin and is especially suitable as a base for protective enamel and waterproofing masonry compound.
WHERE TO USE: Without affecting the breathing properties of concrete, masonry, cement-sand, rendering, brickwork, asbestos and primer, the co-polymer resin binders of Aqua Clear penetrates the capillary structure of building materials to provide floors and walls with impervious integral protection against deterioration through dampness, weathering, heavy usage and the effect of contact with alkalis.
HOW TO USE:
(A) SURFACE PREPARATION: Ensure surfaces are clean and free from dust. Where
concrete surfaces require cleaning to remove oil or grease, use a strong detergent in
accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
(B) APPLICATION: On walls & other vertical surfaces brush-on Aqua Clear with a soft
bristle brush in a liberal coating, ensuring penetration into the surface.
- Integral protection: Unlike most surface treatments such as many polyurethane based products, Aqua Clear penetrates the capillary structure and provides a tough, clear protection which becomes a composite part of the structure.
- This penetration means that with Aqua Clear, failure will not occur through peeling of the surface coating.
- Vapour permeable: Aqua Clear allows materials to breath. Although forming an enamel coating impervious to water, it allows the escape of moisture vapour which could otherwise cause blistering.
- No water: It is water free. This means that application can take place down to 0oC provided that the surface is frost/ice free. It can be applied to slightly damp, porous surface.
- Economical: Aqua Clear is inexpensive. It gives long life protection at 1% of the cost of an epoxy finish.
